Vivo beats Samsung to grab 2nd spot in Indian Smartphone Market

Vivo has made its place on the Number 2 of Indian Smartphone Market, beating Samsung. Samsung was continuously ruling the Indian smartphone market for a very long period of time. After Xiaomi became the Number 1, Samsung had to slide down to the number 2. Now, Vivo has dropped Samsung a little downwards. As Vivo comes on the second position from the smartphone brands in the Indian market, Samsung had to slide at Number 3.

As the reports from CounterPoint says, Vivo has beaten Samsung in the 4th Quarter of 2019, with Xiaomi continuously being on the top. Xiaomi has been on the top of the list for the last 10 Quarters in India. This time, It got 27% of the market’s sales in India. The Chinese Tech Giant is planning to launch a lot of different products in their eco-system here in India. The company recently updated about their new Independent brand, Poco.

Vivo has given a tough competition to other brands last year, with the growth of 76% sales in 2019. With the huge marketing, Vivo could make their way to the second position in the Indian Smartphone Market. In a year, from Q4 of 2018 to Q4 of 2019, Vivo could increase its market shares by up to 132%. The company has various plans to execute in this year, Major smartphones are going to come into the Indian market.

Realme could grab the fifth position in the market with a total of 8% sales in the Indian Smartphone Market. And, Oppo came out to be on the fourth, with 12% of the total sales in India. Indian Smartphone Market is growing rapidly, With more companies coming in, Competition is getting higher. Some of the most challenging brands are providing the best specifications at affordable rates, which attracts Indian consumers.
