Vine Successor Byte App is now available for Android & iOS devices

Vine’s Co-Founder has been working on this new project called Byte for a very long time. Byte was available for beta testing for some time on App Stores. Now, It is officially launched for Android as well as iOS devices. The app lets the user make different short-form videos. The concept is similar to one of the popular applications, Tik-Tok. Byte app is the direct competition to Tik Tok now.

Dom Hofmann was working on this project after Twitter acquired their previous one, Vine. After this acquisition, Hofmann left the Company and started working on Byte. In November 2018, Hofmann announced the details about the launch of Byte. On 25th January 2019, Hofmann tweeted saying “byte’s out”. The official website for this application is byte.co, which tells about all the features of this application along with additional information.

Hofmann has initially named this project as V2, which he later changed into Byte in May 2018. The company’s competitor Tik-Tok has also launched a project called ByteDance. Although the branding doesn’t have any connection as such, Hofmann came up with this name in 2015 whereas Bytedance came into existence after 2019. Byte would be appreciated by the public in the same amount as Tik-Tok, both of these applications interests Short-Video makers.

Vine has been a popular platform for some specific crowd. With the same thought process, Hofmann came up with the application Byte. This application is available on Android as well as iOS platforms. Also, This application costs nothing on the App Stores i.e, free of cost. You just need to shoot videos on the application & upload it to your feed. The audience which uses TikTok will get a new platform where they can see more videos from the creators now.

All in all, It is a great platform developed by the Co-Founder of Vine. Let us know your thoughts on the same, in the comments down below.
